Aprirose Appoints Arthur Phelan as Director of Asset Management

19 May 2025

Aprirose, the real estate investment manager, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Arthur Phelan as Director of Asset Management.
Arthur will join the asset management division led by Richard Hughes, who is responsible for overseeing the business’s growing UK portfolio.

Arthur brings over 20 years of experience across residential and commercial real estate advisory. He joins Aprirose following three years as a Director at Forvis Mazars and eight years as Vice President at Curzon Advisors. His expertise spans multiple sectors and includes significant pan-European experience.

The appointment comes as Aprirose accelerates its acquisition strategy across multiple sectors in the UK. The firm is pursuing a two-pronged investment approach:

• Core income strategy – continuing its well-established focus on acquiring long-income assets.
• Growth strategy – targeting value-add opportunities where active asset management can deliver enhanced returns, particularly in light of the economic shifts seen since 2022–2023.

Aprirose remains opportunistic and sector-agnostic in its pursuit of both strategies.

Richard Hughes, Head of Asset Management at Aprirose, commented:
“Aprirose has a clear investment strategy to build and enhance our portfolio, with a particular emphasis on asset management-intensive opportunities. Arthur’s appointment strengthens our team and expands our capacity to source new deals and execute asset management initiatives effectively.”

Arthur Phelan added:
“Aprirose has a strong reputation for identifying investment opportunities and delivering returns for its clients. I’m excited to be joining Richard and the wider team to support the continued execution of both the acquisition and asset management strategies.”
